This one is easy - we absolutely are! Of course by "we" I mean the Golden Billion.
Most of us can dedicate over a decade of our lives to studying. Most of us can travel the world. For vast majority the amount of drinkable water and calorie-rich food we consume is limited only by our physical capacity.
For those not included in the Golden Billion things are not so peachy, but whatever difficulties they have it doesn't seem to preclude them from breeding and multiplying. Surviving to adulthood and having offsprings is not a given - it requires a lot of resources which we seem to have. So, yeah, Homo Sapience is doing pretty good.
